About the Founder
Cindy Brown, SIOR is the founder of Commercial Quest NW, a commercial real estate company based in the Portland area. Cindy has been actively involved in real estate since 1997 selling and leasing commercial property. Prior to being directly involved in real estate, she worked in economic development for PacifiCorp, a large western utility company, as a business consultant focusing on siting industrial customers in communities throughout the west. She was responsible for developing an innovative site assessment program targeted at helping communities assess, rank, and determine the best way to create shovel ready sites with limited resources.
Cindy is licensed in the states of Oregon and Washington. She is active in the Commercial Association of Realtors, and is a member of CAR’s education committee. She belongs to the Portland chapter of CREW, Commercial Real Estate Women, and is volunteering on their fund raising committee. Cindy earned the SIOR designation, and is the first female in the Portland metro area to achieve that honor. SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) is an exclusive credential that is held by only 1,900 brokers in North America and worldwide. SIOR is earned through professional education, demonstrated competency, volume production, ethical conduct and personal integrity.
Cindy holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Portland State University. She has taken advanced coursework in commercial real estate and investment analysis and is actively pursuing the CCIM designation. She is a published author, a trained business facilitator, and has been involved in real estate related activities for the past 15 years.
